In what can only be described as a whirlwind of a year, we are thrilled to announce that we’ve ended it by securing a new farm property for our family and livestock! Grace Pond Farm is moving to Thomaston; we’ve found a historic farm property there, in need of attention and fertility, and we are looking forward to beginning our pasture season there Spring 2019!
The cattle are wintering over, being milked and cared for, at the Milkhouse in Monmouth and Gregg is still growing the milk delivery - all the while we’re racing through the book-work and transitional planing that makes the wheels turn on this crazy train.
Spring time will see the first big steps toward being up and running over here. Perimeter fencing, brooders, and farm stand opening are all high on the priority list. We’re looking forward to putting these plans into action and watching the dairy barn come to life here at this old farm.
We are grateful to be a part of the agricultural legacy here at the ‘new place’. This land has been farmed since the 1700’s, and the more we discover about its history, the more humbled we become, as we step up to add our chapter to its book.
